John Barry... cycling - 7 DAYS - FOR PANCREATIC CANCER
2023... My SIXTH Year!!!
7 Days 2023 will take place May 27th - June 2nd and will be my 6th year participating in - a BIG shout out to my past supporters... over $50,000 in 5 years!!! My indoor training just started. Inside cycling is hot, hard and not much fun. These are the times that I reflect on all of those that are suffering and fighting cancer.
MY 2023 GOAL... $15,000
Over the past 10 years, 7 Days In May has raised over $1,000,000 yes... over ONE MILLION DOLLARS. I think this is absolutely awesome for a bunch of cyclists that riding there bikes... for 7 Days in May. We are determination to help fund to find a cure pancreatic cancer.
7 Days is a cycling event and fundraiser that was founded in 2012 to increase awareness about pancreatic cancer and to raise funds to help find a cure for this deadly affliction. 100% of money raised from this event goes to research to find a cure.
Pancreas Cancer Mortality Rate... 93%
Number Who Die Within One Year of Diagnosis... 75%
Pancreas Cancer Survival Rate... 5%
Amount of National Funding Received... 2%
Pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related death in Canada. Survival rates have not improved in the last 40 years – it’s time to change those statistics.
